This stunning and powerful 20" EAGLE MEDICINE Medicine Drum is a collaborative work by Medicine Woman Francesca Oldani and Tewa Hopi Artist and Elder John Mahweka.
Drum and adornments made by Francesca, painted artwork by John.
Blueing dyed BUFFALO rawhide on 2" wood frame, Macaw, Guinae hen, and Peacock feathers, tail of horse hair hangs, goat hair tufts, cultured pearls, vintage glass beads, and leather adornments.
Comes with a beater.

Description of John's symbology painted into this drum. Directly below the eagles eye, wind blowing through the mountains. Below that, the moon and life's stairway to Heaven. The Diamond symbolizes expanded consciousness. Two feathers symbolize movement, flying. The pointed design is a kiva, or temple, in rocks with prayers moving upward to the sky that can be heard when the Eagle cries. The half circles are water beings being carried in the wings.
